The Yoga Sutras are an ancient text attributed to Pantanjali who may or may not have been a real person. Said to have been complied in 400ce, the Sutras are still used today as a guiding voice in yoga and in life. There are 196 Sutras. All of them meaningful, however some resonate more than others. The goal is to study them, absorb them, and use them to be a better person, to live a better life.
I rarely have 196 minutes in a day and little patience for intense study. But I am trying. Trying to learn more, to study more, to be able to offer more. So on my journey I have decided to create my own version of Sutras. Not because I think I am equal to a text that has stood up to the test of time, actually the opposite. I am trying to find my own way, my own balance is a life that has become increasingly off balance.
So these are my sutras, my Momma Sutras. My guiding principles to find more meaning in my life as a yoga teacher and a mother. You may find them guiding your life, or you may think they are just crap. Either way, Welcome!
